So, I'm letting my eyebrows grow out after spending most of my life plucking them. Yikes. The whole grow out process isn't pretty. My eyebrows are keeping the same pattern so far, but stray hairs are growing in on the lower outer portions of the eyebrows. Well, perhaps I shouldn't call them stray hairs anymore - I'll embrace them as my new brows growing in. :)

That said, I'm trying to figure out ways to expedite the hair growth process, like massaging castor oil into my eyebrows every night. Do you have any suggestions? Here is a great video that I found by YouTube's Andreaschoice that talks about thick eyebrows and how to deal with growing them out:

Thank you Kris! I know it can be time consuming when it comes to getting them to your liking but you shouldn't have any problem with growing them. I believe they say hair grows everyday. A way you can maintain them in-between growth and this is something I do to prevent myself from taking a razor to them. I apply like a thick concealer that's my color on the areas where the straggly hairs comes in and then take a pencil I personally love maybellines eyebrow pencils and I stroke my eyebrows in the way my hair grows and use short strokes. Then I go in with a lighter concealer to define my brows which takes away the attention from the growing hairs and draws the eyes more to the defined brows.
I also use a razor to clean up stray hairs. One day I let a friend clean up stray hairs and all of a sudden my face was BALD!!!!...I nearly passed out. With patience, time, and a mixture of castor, vitamin e, and peppermint oil: I am glad to say there back!!!! Sally's and Walmart have an electric razor that I use. Its sharp enough to remove hairs but it never cuts skin. It was an "as seen on tv" product.I use the concealor trick to make them very sharp and to let the hair grow in full instead of arching them to thin. I have very thick brows! Here is a progression pic
Wow your eyebrows are beautiful! Thanks for sharing your tips and photos. Question: are you wearing eyebrow makeup in the last few pics? If so, what type of makeup is it? I am currently using an eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows as they are growing in but I don't think a pencil will be best as they get thicker. Would love to know your thoughts!

No. I have man brows...lol. So I have brows like my dad so I don't have to fill in. To fill in a brow that is sparse you need a very sharp dark brown brow pencil. You then use short feathered strokes mimicking natural hair. I'll add two links with some awesome you tube tutorials.
