Hi Diamond,

My first thoughts are: the product may contain an ingredient or two that contributes to this issue, and/or your hair is absorbing the product a lot. What are the product's ingredients? (if you can find a list of the ingredients online you can just provide the link and I can check it out).

petrolatum

mineral oil

lanolin

fragrance

green 6

Well, petroleum and mineral oil aren't the best agents to actually condition and moisturize your tresses. Lanolin, while a greasy/waxy type substance, has enough water in it to moisturize your hair, and supposedly does a great job of absorbing moisture from the air.
Your hair may really absorb the product well, but you may risk over-greasing since the petroleum and mineral oil are quite heavy and can coat the hair pretty quickly over time. If I were you, I would make sure to keep a regular shampoo and condition regimen so that I can apply the hair dressing without risking over-greasing/overcoating of my hair (since the hair will be cleansed regularly).
