Live Your Most Beautiful Life
If you are top heavy, aerobic exercise can sometimes be incredibly uncomfortable if you are not wearing the right bra. Any type of jump or vertical movement can be frustrating and downright painful if you are not wearing the proper support.
In order to make working out a lot more comfortable, you have to know your body structure and your cup size. Here are some tips to get your top shelf in check and making working out a lot more fun and comfortable:
Double-check your breast size: “Measure across the nipples and around your back to get your cup size (round to the nearest whole number). Measure above and around your bust to get your band size (round to the nearest even umber). The difference between the two numbers is your cup size. (One inch equals an A cup, two equals a B cup and so on.). The salesperson in the lingerie department of any lingerie store can assist you with this.” –Heart and Soul Magazine, 2003
Know Your Bra Preference: There are so many different types of sports bras on the market today. Some large sports bras sometimes don’t have any cup support, and you may prefer actual cups within the sports bra to make it comfortable for you. Try on different types of bras, jump up and down in them to measure personal comfort, and narrow them down until you find the perfect style for you.
Check for Bra Fit: The band should fit the ribcage snugly, and the cups should full encase the breasts, especially along the sides.
