Water!  “Ugh, it has no taste.”  “I hate the way it taste.”   “It makes me want to throw up.”  “It’s such a boring drink.”  I know we’ve all heard or made these excuses about why we don’t drink enough water.  However, recent studies in the medical journal, Nutrition Today, reports that drinking water aids with weight loss.

Water does not stimulate insulin production, which is important for fat storage.  In addition, being hydrated helps to keep your metabolism up. When you’re dehydrated, your body naturally slows its metabolism in order to protect itself.  All in all, water consumption in place of drinking highly caloric drinks prevents weight gain and promotes weight loss in adults.
