When I hear the word "bridezilla", I imagine a crazed woman who is absolutely obsessed with having the perfect wedding of her dreams, no matter what. She must have the perfect dress, the perfect location, the perfect ceremony, and perfect pictures, or she will bite someone's head off. Am I even remotely close to relating to someone like that? Nope. I am no bridezilla, even though I am excited to get married. 

I remember witnessing a co-worker who, after getting the ring, started to seriously obsess over her wedding plans. She bought a whole bunch of wedding magazines and had them open on her desk while she worked. Other people in the office murmured about it, but she didn't care. She had a wedding to plan, and she was determined to have an absolutely perfect, glamorous wedding with bells and whistles fit for a princess. It was pretty clear that even though she was physically in the office, her mind was definitely on planning her wedding. 

I personally don't understand the obsession with the wedding ceremony, even though I am looking forward to my own. I am all for a private, simple wedding on a beach somewhere in a comfortable, fitted pretty dress. I also don't require that a whole bunch of people show up to the wedding either. Just a small group of close family and friends works for me. 

Eh, perhaps I am just a bit too relaxed on this subject considering that we are still in the initial planning stage of the wedding. You never know - I could eventually evolve into a crazy bridezilla when it comes to the type of dress that I wear or even my hair and makeup. But for now - I'm a relaxed, engaged sista who is looking forward to a relaxing wedding ceremony, no drama attached.
