Live Your Most Beautiful Life
Are you looking for a moisturizing hair treatment with natural ingredients? Well, look no further than your kitchen cupboard! Here are some great hair treatment recipes to consider indulging in (see Fast Beauty Fixes: 1,000 Quick Fixes):
Guacamole (Avocado) Hair Mask:
If your hair is brittle and prone to breakage, try this deep moisturizing treatment. Mash an overripe avocado until it looks ready for guacamole. Mix in an egg yolk and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Massage it into damp hair, tuck it under a shower cap, and leave on for 15 minutes to an hour. Rinse, shampoo, and condition your hair.
Massage a quarter-size dab of coconut oil (virgin/organic coconut oil, available at health food stores) into damp hair. Leave it in for up to 30 minutes, then shampoo and condition your hair. Your hair will feel moisturized, soft and shiny.
Look for "whipped" shea butter, which is formulated so that it's light and easy to apply. Before your shower, scoop out a handful from the jar and massage it into dry hair. Leave on for up to 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, and condition your hair.
