Blessings... Before I get started.. I just want to say the the opinions expressed here are MY own and in no way intended to offend anyone!!!

What the heck is wrong with our black community? Our black society as a whole? Everywhere I look and almost everything I read.. from news articles to blogs..we are destroying our own by being hateful and hurtful. It seems like we can't say or do anything nice for each other. IMO we are the only race that would rather support our "counter parts" than support ourselves.

The black population make up the majority of the beauty industry with hair products (wigs, weaves etc..) BUT if you look around... how many black owned BSS are in your community... NONE. They are all ran by another race who haven't the slightest idea about black hair...

How many black own resturants are there? Clothing stores? We don't recycle our money amongst ourselves. For example: mexicans shop at mexican stores.. africans shop at african stores..indians shop at indian stores... but we can't even keep a store open long enough...why.. because we rob ourselves of opportunities!!

Look at the entertainment industry... there are only a hand full of "us" in the spot light... but we are also the ones putting them down... especially if they do...say.. or wear something that we don't like or approve of.

Look at Beyonce for example... none of us know her from a can of paint... yet we are the first to judge her because of her music.. her looks..... "she isn't black enough" ...she is trying to be white" ... "why she wearing a lacefront instead of her natural hair".... Then there is "Gabby" from the movie Precious... "look at how big she is"...  "she is to darK"... so on and so forth.. I hope you get the point.

Until we as a people learn to support our own we will always be three steps behind...IMO Wiliie Lynch said this would happen.. and it did. Only we can break this cycle... we need to start spreading love NOT hate among ourselves... we need to rotate our money in our own community through supporting black owned businesses... supporting each other.. don't just TALK about it... Be about it!!!... It's time to wake up!!!  (rant over...lol)
