Romans 12:4-8

⁴ For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, ⁵ so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. ⁶ We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; ⁷ if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; ⁸ if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,^[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

I think one question we have all secretly asked ourselves at one point or another is, “Did God make a mistake when he made me the way that I am?” My emphatic answer to this question is: No, God didn’t make a mistake when he made you.  In fact, God made you perfect the way you are. No matter what your ethnicity, political outlook, heritage or skin tone may be, He made you to be unique - just the way you are.  

I know it can be a disappointing thing to take a look at those around you and believe that their gifts and talents outshine your own just because their gifts are more visible.  But God knows that this train of thought couldn't be further from the truth.  In fact, He says in Romans 12: 4-8 that He gave everybody different gifts and each gift is valuable to everyone within the "body".  You may think your gifts are minor and that they can’t be turned into a wonderful career or great passion that can help the world. Here is the truth: God made you the way you are and has empowered you, just the way you are, to prosper. 

Never forget that the Bible says that we are made in God’s image, and His image is one of power, intelligence and perfection.  So you and your gifts, no matter what your gifts are, are destined for greatness.   The question is:  Are you going to act in God’s empowerment and let your gift make room you? It's your decision to make after all faith without works is dead.
